Welcome to Colorado Plateau Carbon Connections! The Colorado Plateau is a geographic region in the western United States that includes the Four Corners states of Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado. This semi-arid region is known for its dramatic landscapes, deep canyons and other colorful rock formations. This area is sensitive to changes in climate, particularly temperature and precipitation.

Colorado Plateau Carbon Connections (or CP Carbon Connections) is a 10-day digital curriculum unit that explores the carbon cycle and the science of climate change. The materials are designed for students in grades 9-12. The lessons use interactive scientific models to help explain concepts of carbon and climate in regional and cultural contexts.
